COSMETOLOGY

The Cosmetology program offers instruction and practical experience in the skills and theory necessary to be a licensed cosmetologist. Students acquire skills necessary for success in the field of cosemetology, which includes care of the hair, skin and nails. To gain practical experience, students work ina salon environment and perform services for community members.
 
Upon completion of the required 1,000 hours (which includes after school or summer sessions). students are eligible to take the New York State Cosmetology Licensing Exam. Students entering the program must purchase a cosmetology kit and a uniform.
