Lamination is one of our more popular BOCES Media Library services. For this particular service, schools are charged per foot of lamination used. Materials to be laminated should be sent to the LRC marked "LAMINATION" and clearly labeled with a return address. Items to be laminated should not be metallic (no foil paper), have staples, glitter or exposed glue, and should not have both dimensions (length and width) greater than 24 inches. The materials should be no thicker than manilla folders. Any material glued to a mailla folder will exceed this thickness. Laser printers that use the new crayon "INK" will run when laminated.
Remember to plan ahead! If you need materials laminated and sent back for a particular date, give yourself plenty ot time. We get a LOT of materials to laminate, and they are done in the order received! For those who hope to expedite the process by bringing their materials to the Learning Resources Center and laminating the items themselves, be aware that the laminator only runs between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM. You may want to call ahead to see if the laminator is free before you come. As noted before, materials are laminated as they come in. If LRC staff are using the laminator, the machine will not be available for walk-in use.
