COORDINATED COOPERATIVE COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT
DISTRICT CCCD TOPICS: St. Lawrence-Lewis School Library System oversees a Coordinated Cooperative Collection Development program (CCCD) which allows districts to purchase units of elementary and/or secondary CCCD through COSER 508 and receive State Aid back on their purchases. Each participating library collects materials in one or two emphasis areas, with as little overlap of topics as possible at each level. Libraries continue to develop in those areas until they have exhausted the purchase possibilities or are ready to begin new collection areas. Libraries may purchase multiple units of CCCD. Specific deadlines and procedures must be maintained by participants.
CCCD KITS (Kit titles are linked to content listing with direct access to order): Participating districts collectively pool some of their CCCD monies to develop author and theme kits. Cooperatively developed kits are housed at the BOCES LRC and circulated through the Media Library.
CCCD PLAN: The School Library System's overall plan for delivering CCCD services is described in this document. The plan was approved by the system Council on November 15, 2011.
CCCD KIT LIST WITH SNAP NUMBERS: The CCCD Kit List With SNAP Numbers lists all the CCCD kits we've created as well as those (highlighted) that are in the works. The SNAP number is also included for easier ordering on SNAP. New kits are available each year.
