April 1 Board Meeting

The St. Lawrence-Lewis Board of Cooperative Educational Services will hold a regular meeting at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 followed by the annual meeting at 6:30 pm on at the St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES Educational Service Center, 40 W. Main Street, Canton, New York.


Both meetings will be closed to the public, but will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/sllboces/. Informational materials will be available in the “Announcements” section of the BOCES website prior to the meeting: http://www.sllboces.org.

STATEMENT REGARDING SCHOOL CLOSURE 3/14

Due to the State of Emergency declared by the St. Lawrence County Board of Directors, and in consultation with St. Lawrence County and St. Lawrence Public Health, the St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES and its 18 school districts have made a unanimous decision to close school immediately until at least April 20th. The districts, in collaboration with Public Health, will reevaluate the return of staff and students prior to the 20th to determine whether or not it is safe to return.

A Review of the St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES Health Insurance Consortium: Findings and Recommendations

The District Superintendent of the St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES along with the
superintendents of the participating component school districts requested a study to review the current St. Lawrence-Lewis Health Insurance Consortium Plan, including the premium rate structure, with a focus on Medicare-eligible members, the structure of successful health insurance plans offered in other BOCES regions, and the analysis of potential health insurance plan models available to the St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES and component districts.
