School Improvement

Basic Service - The School Improvement Service assists districts in implementing long-range professional and data-based school development plans to meet NYSED requirements and improve student learning and performance. Professional development opportunities meet teacher, school, and district needs based upon plans, data, and state and federal requirements. A data service will be included with the purchase of School Improvement to include Grade 3-8 and Regents (scanned) cumulative, multi-year, reports and graphs. A data service will support district implementation of data driven instruction. BOCES Aidable 

Services 

Constructivist Design Conference 
The Constructivist Design Conference for Educational Improvement is hosted on the St. Lawrence University campus for one week in July. During the conference participants will experience research-based constructivist strategies first-hand throughout the week and reflect on their impact. Participants will work toward a goal/task which benefits both students and their community and will leave the conference with a product and an implementation plan for its immediate use. BOCES Aidable
 
Data and Assessments 
  • The Regional Assessment Service assists districts in the creation, housing, delivery, and scoring of secure, regional assessments as required by the new APPR legislation. Included are both pre-assessments and summative assessments aligned to test maps. Also required for the service are licenses to e-Doctrina software. BOCES Aidable
  •  Data Collection - Support for services and data-driven instruction initiatives. 
 
Data Driven Instruction Camp
Districts planning to implement a  Data Driven Instruction Camp should commit to this service in the spring preceding the camp. Final cost estimates will be provided in a quote based on individual district needs. BOCES Aidable
 
Instructional Assessment Teacher
The instructional support services teacher will assist district administrators and teachers to implement DDI. Duties include assisting teachers to obtain, organize, and analyze data from a variety of software programs. BOCES Aidable
