Included in the Employer/Employee Relations service are the following:

Negotiation of collective bargaining agreements including assistance in developing proposals;

Representation and research for mediation and fact-finding;

Contract interpretation and management assistance;

Grievance processing including drafting of responses, witness preparation and advocacy at arbitration, and composition of necessary briefs;

Representation before PERB at improper practice hearings and in unit clarification matters;

Investigation, reporting and disciplinary recommendations in instances of alleged employee misconduct;

Case preparation and representation in Civil Service Section 75 disciplinary hearings;

Assistance with questions of tenure, seniority, staff reduction and recall, discipline, and dismissal;

Workshops and consultations regarding employee legislation and human resources procedures;

Access to standardized procedures, guidelines, and forms for processing personnel office functions;

Electronic training for staff in areas of health, safety, and organizational culture;

Labor posters for all federal and state mandated employee notifications;

Compilation and archival of each district's collective bargaining agreements, arbitration awards, fact-finding reports, and litigation determinations;

Digital fingerprinting of new employees;

Complete library of NYS statutes and case law, Commissioner's Decisions, Codes, Rules & Regulations, and PERB decisions;

Unemployment insurance cost control through National Employers Council.
