Each year St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES employees have the opportunity to nominate co-workers for a special recognition award. Nominations are made for deserving administrators, teachers, and support staff members. A nominated employee: must have a minimum of five years of service with St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES, should be exceptionally skilled in his/her position, should show, through his/her actions, a true dedication to those to whom he/she provides service, should reflect, through his/her efforts, how he/she strives to achieve the highest
standards of excellence, standards that are consistent with the vision and mission of the St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES, should be well respected by co-workers, supervisors, and those to whom he/she provides service, should be innovative in his/her approach to his/her work, and should be an active participant in BOCES activities, committees, etc.
In general, the employee should be a consistent contributor to the success of the St.

Ann Bronson-Kitchen Manager
Ann has
worked for BOCES for 18 years as the Kitchen Manager at Seaway Career
and Technical Center. Ann juggles many jobs at once, is a hard worker
who never sits down. She treats everyone with kindness and compassion.
Ann is always available for the many banquets and events, working
diligently behind the scenes. Ann goes above and beyond when she works
for students. Ann is very dedicated to BOCES.

demonstrates an incredibly high work ethic. She does her job and many
tasks that aren't in her description, always treating everyone with

Mark Mulkin-Electronics Technician
Mark
has worked for the Learning Resource Center for over 14 years. Mark's
high level of competence enables him to repair computers, scanners,
printers, CD-ROM's and DVD drivers and other electronic equipment. He
is always willing to assist and helps every person in the LRC building
with troubleshooting computer problems. Mark is highly respected by his
co-workers, his supervisor and all those he serves. Everyone
appreciates his opinions.

Diane Spears-Special Education Teacher
Diane
has worked as a teaching assistant for 18 years. Diane brings
exceptional skills to her position as an assistant in her primary life
skills classroom. She is remarkably consistent in her performance,
which she holds to a high standard of excellence. Diane brings a great
combination of skills, devotion, and common sense to her approach with
kids. Diane is a role model for other assistants, a team unifier and is
respected by all her co-workers.

Jeffery Swift-Career and Technology Teacher
Jeff
has worked as a Building Trades Instructor for 20 years where he has
created a model program for all three BOCES Tech Centers. In his
position he has guided students from unskilled to skilled students who
have the potential to be employed in the building construction field.
Jeff focuses on the academic achievements as well as the technical
skills. Each year many of his students qualify for the National
Technical Honor Society. Jeff has mentored new instructors and has
served on numerous committees with BOCES. He is a strong advocate for
his co-worker and his students.

Marsha Hough-Special Education Teacher
Marsha
has completed 20 years of BOCES service.She worked as an aide in
special education for 10 years, and then got a vision to become a
special education teacher. Marsha went to college to obtain her
bachelor's and master's degree in special education. She has now
completed 10 years teaching emotionally disturbed children. She
exemplifies what every teacher should be, in and outside the classroom.
Marsha often works "outside of the box" to meet the needs of the most
challenging students.

Nancy Wright-Treasurer
Nancy
has served BOCES for 30 years. Each year Nancy has consistently proven
her skills at budget preparation and balancing. She works with
employees at every level. Nancy treats others with respect. She is
pleasant to work with and truly cares about the people whom she works.
Nancy is open to new procedures and technology. Nancy never hesitates
to put in extra hours to meet a deadline.
