The students at BOCES Northwest Tech had the opportunity to view the car's cockpit and engine as well as to learn about its development, on November 6, 2009. The Super Car is a Ford Mustang retrofitted by the Air Force with Star Wars type technology. Many  questions were asked while inquiring about the Mustang Super Car including,  "Do you drive it or Fly it?"  This Super Car drives like a car but handles like a jet with its doors, hood, and truck all being controlled by the "cockpit" shown below.

The super car has a standard transmission and is controlled with a flight-stick grip to shift between its nitro-fed gears.
