St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Nee as deputy superintendent, effective August 4.
Nee brings over two decades of experience in education leadership and classroom instruction to BOCES. He currently serves as superintendent of Colton-Pierrepont Central School District, a role he has held since 2018, following his tenure as principal beginning in 2014. He began his career as a middle school history teacher, where he cultivated a strong foundation in student engagement and academic excellence.

A graduate of Canton Central School, Nee earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Le Moyne College, a master’s in secondary social studies from SUNY Potsdam, and completed his education leadership certification at SUNY Stony Brook.

As deputy superintendent, Nee will oversee instructional programs, support district partnerships, and help guide strategic initiatives across the BOCES region. He will replace Darin Saiff, who was recently appointed district superintendent of St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES. His leadership will play a key role in advancing educational excellence and innovation throughout the organization.
